This time of year is often referred to as the season of giving, and for a good reason. Most people use the holiday season as a time to give gifts of a lifetime to their loved ones and to help those in need.
Sometimes, it’s easy to forget about the most innocent and vulnerable among us – animals.
My family and I are avid animal lovers and have adopted most of our pets from the local humane society, Humane Tomorrow. And that’s why I’m happy to announce that very soon, our offices have donation boxes for Humane Tomorrow.
Why We Hope You Will Donate to Humane Tomorrow
We’ve been working with Humane Tomorrow for quite some time now. Being one of our valued clients, we want to do all we can to help their cause and keep the animals at the humane society healthy and happy.
Getting to know the people who operate the humane society has made us appreciate how much good they do within the community.
The mission is to protect animals against cruelty.
But they do more than that.
Animal protection agencies like Humane Tomorrow provide the following services for animals in our community:
- Animal Placement/Adoption
- Spay and Neuter Programs
- Teaching Programs for Pet Owners
In addition to these services, the humane society helps during natural disasters.
This summer, Texas experienced one of the worst hurricanes on record – Hurricane Harvey. The devastation has been incredible, and many people have been displaced.
And so have our furry and fluffy friends.
Humane society branches around Texas have rescued hundreds of animals from the flood waters. The employees and volunteers of these agencies saw to the physical and emotional needs of these animals.
Thankfully, many of those animals have been reunited with their pet parents, but not all of them have been so fortunate.
As we pull together after such a disaster and approach the season of giving, can you find it in your heart to help the less fortunate animals of Texas?
